I recommend this guys youtube, he's a Consultant Cardiologist in York, England. He's done some great videos, this video is on magnesium.

Dr Sanjay Gupta did a great video on cholesterol and how it's not how high it is that matters. That is how I remember it.

A couple of weeks ago everything tasted "salty", in recent days everything I eat or drink tastes "slimey", some say that it can be bacteria, but week before last I saw the hygenist and the dentist afterwards.

I thought it might be the different toothpaste that I was using or the different mouthwash, but I don't think it is.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, sorry you are having this problem.
"Dysgeusia (pronounced "dis-GOOZ-ee-a") is an abnormal taste or change in taste that won't go away. It can be described as bad, metallic, salty, foul or rancid.

Your taste buds are found on your tongue and on the roof of your mouth. They contain cells that collect taste information and send it to the brain.

Some people with dysgeusia also have an altered sense of smell. About 75% of flavor and taste sensations come from nerve cells involved with smell. Both taste and smell cells work together to produce the sense of taste.

Our taste cells can identify four main qualities: sour, bitter, salty and sweet. More subtle aspects of flavor come from your sense of smell. Try this experiment. Take a sip of coffee or eat an orange slice while you hold your nose. It will be difficult to taste the flavor of the food or drink.

Dysgeusia is relatively uncommon. It can have numerous causes. Fortunately, many of the causes are temporary. For example, several infections can cause mild dysgeusia. They include the common cold, flu, strep throat and nasal or sinus infections. Causes of dysgeusia are rarely life-threatening, but the disorder does affect your quality of life.

Most common cause is a side effect from medications as well as from by sinus related issues. Dry mouth is another possible cause and staying hydrated usually revolves the issue. A zinc deficiency is another possible cause. Chronic gingivitis or periodontitis are also common causes of a metallic taste. However, it could also be a sign of kidney problems, diabetes, liver problems and cancer. Which is why if it persists you need to see your physician for an evaluation.

We solved this last night, it was due to the ear infection, and doctors gave me ear drops with steroids in it. That impacted on the nervous and endocrine system.

There have been three cases of this that we know of.

Had some acupuncture today and massage.

Been putting my healing oil on my feet too.

Its improved tonight, eating dark chocolate cranberries and they taste great. Didn't eat all day, just had a milky coffee with the Italians.

Going to have a banana and pineapple smoothie now with Greek yogurt and goats milk.

Dr Greger chose those highlights for his channel. He's saying what I have been saying for decades about processed foods.

This is a longer view of the presentations with more speakers included in it. If you are more interested in what the other speakers had to say.

Of course there is "conflicts of interest" amongst the speakers.

I worked on a very serious case of "emphysema", and the pharmaceuticals that the docs had been giving her were making her "worst", she never mentioned that she had any issues with her taste buds. She has always eaten incredibly healthy during her life. What she lacked was oxygen in her blood cells, and she was at the point that she couldn't even walk without assistance. The situation was so dire that she was on a breathing machine daily.

That case was solved with one Reiki treatment in these hands while listening to my meditation healing CD, I also treated her with flower essences. At that point her health condition improved to the extent that she stopped taking the pharmaceuticals completely, and the lung scans showed the doctor that her lungs had returned to normal for a woman of her age.

The lungs are about the breath of life and it is often the case that those people have not allowed new life to manifest in their lives for some reason. When  I looked at what flower essences she required, it came up that she was holding on to "guilt" to do with a relationship and that had to be cleared from her body on an emotional memory level.

Every case can have different causes due to the lives of people being different. Although I often find some similarities when I am investigating numerous health cases.
