it starts off kind of dry. I recommend just starting at about the 1 hour 45 minute mark.

I dunno about an audio book but THIS is a GREAT read by Mark Twain: "Following The Equator."  Witty, humorous and eye opening.
My mind, a field of battles, struggles for peace in a tight place.

Years ago, my Dad gave me a totally great biography of Joan of Arc.
I not only loved reading the book, but my Dad had inscribed it to me on the flyleaf.

I loaned the book to one of my grandsons (at his request), and ...

He lost the book.   Eyeroll

Joan of Arc

Joan of Arc played a pivotal role in the Siege of Orléans, a turning point in the Hundred Years' War, by successfully leading the French forces to break the English siege on May 8, 1429. Her leadership and the moral boost she provided to the French troops were instrumental in relieving the city.
