Forgotten Bands of the Golden Age of Psychedelia

Forgotten Bands of the Golden Age of Psychedelia (msn.com)

The psychedelic explosion of the 1960s produced a flood of bands experimenting with sound, color, and consciousness. While a few names like The Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane remain household legends, many equally inventive groups have faded from memory. Here’s a look at the bands from the golden age of psychedelia who contributed to the era’s kaleidoscopic soundscape, and whose music deserves rediscovery. (Quick advice: save this post after reading it, and you may have months of musical joy ahead.)

I made half through to third before I quit. Very strong message. High-Five. Always stand to the right even if it means your death. I salute you Brother.

Today I was instructed by my 88 year old Mother to come over. On arrival, I was asked to play the song below on the organ. My Father would play it for my Grandmother Opal and Momma. I haven't opened that book and turned to that piece of music in over forty years. She is my creator, I will always bend the knee to her. If she asked me to climb a tree and act the monkey, I would without question even in my physical condition. She is my true Church.

I don't know why I am sharing this moment. In honor of my Father? I began to cry when she started to sing after my hands started hitting the notes and depth correctly. All I could see was my Father doing what ever those Ladies wanted. It brought me home. It gave grace to  the boy who became a monster.

I don't care if this makes me seem a foul. Bless
