It looks like it's official now... Oregon & Washington to the Big 10 (now 16) joining USC & UCLA, and Colorado, Arizona, ASU & Utah to the Big 12 (now 16). That leaves Oregon State, Washington State, Cal & Stanford in the formerly PAC 12.

Somehow, I think this is leading to the next big adjustment which I'm speculating is a new top level NCAA division that will comprise of four super conferences. If that type of scenario manifests, it will give an opportunity for a true playoff based solely on record, but I think they would find a way to structure it  so they could still vote preferred teams to the top...
