Then was interrupted - - a "SEN-suss" Taker came to the door at 8:50pm and completely unhinged me. I thought they did this every ten years, and not in the middle.  She had a badge, left a note.  They want information and picked "this unit" to ask since the form sent a few weeks ago was ignored.  Online it says one can be arrested should one choose not to comply.  "One" would be my roommate, specifically, not me, in this case.

My country is gone, just gone.

Update:  We didn't think she'd show on a holiday, but did return the morning after at 10:50am. Knocked on door and we didn't answer.  
She made her notes and left a card taped to the door. Now we know this is the Amrcn Kommunitee Sirvay through the Dept of Kommerch and Sen-suss Bureau, which sounds like a non-governmental organization to me (Chevron Deference anyone?). They will give up after a time. We are feeling bounty-hunted just because they insist we give them information on which to base their marketing, future street lights, etc., whatever they want. Personal questions like "when do you leave for work every day?" There are many online complaints of stalking and harassment from these folks. They are trying to normalize this as an annual, in addition to the every ten years...

Ron Paul has said it is unconstitutional. I couldn't agree more.
