Y'all want to hear something funny about how life can throw you a curve ball out of the blue. At least I think it's humorous.

I was told today that I have 50/50 chance of requiring a colostomy bag for the rest of my life post surgery tomorrow.

I started laughing. My Doc/Surgeon started laughing as well and stated I should have expected that response from you. He added, we got to get you squared away so you can make more jerky.  He also added, can we get the recipe for the cookies you gave to the nurses? I said nope. That is my father's recipe. 

LIFE, you must fight, adapt and overcome until the bitter end. Never give an inch.

Oh Oh, he asked if I was tired of the butt/gay jokes? I said it's gotten old but, not unbearable. I shared that my uncle (Army) is still pushing the joke that I'm Navy and you are Air Force. He laughed and said only people like us understand the humor in those jokes. He said we don't get free rides. I said, free rides are for quitters. He agreed.
