Ghislaine wrote a draft statement and must have sent a copy to Epstein due to the amount of media pressure she was under it states that the photo is real and Virgina did meet Andrew at her flat with other friends off Ghislaine.  From what she says in her written statement she says that she thought she was at least 18 because Virginia told her she had a 67 year old girlfriend. 

When she was first introduced to Epstein, her mother and brother were also at the interview.

The statement doesn't give a date of when they met or dates the statement, but it must have been written when the photograph first surfaced.
