My own personal theory is his post menopausal daughters are walking heiresses past breeding age, 63 and 59 and could be ripe for male gold diggers. It could be they were the targets not Gene, dad just needed to be removed. There is some collosal greed running loose & wants to siphon generational wealth

Is the CDAN blind true? Why would he refuse a daughter asking for money? Did he object how it would be spent? 

Lust for others lifetime box office gross is real.

They may have miscalculated with Hackman, underestimating how much he was still respected

Its like Antonin Scalia smothered by the pillow at the Texas hunting lodge

He was 79 so plausible he "died in his sleep". Yeah maybe. Not.

The daughters looked far too happy for my liking after the news was announced.
