Under the Standard Model of particle physics, protons are considered stable and do not decay. However, some Grand Unified Theories (GUTs), which extend the Standard Model, predict that they do decay, though at an extremely slow rate. To date, no experiment has ever detected a proton decaying.

"Particles" are not real, protons are.

There are an estimated \(10^{80}\) protons in the observable universe. This number is based on estimates of the total number of atoms and the prevalence of hydrogen, the most common element, which consists of a single proton.

There is no scientific link between platonic solids and the modern periodic table; however, there are philosophical and alternative scientific models that attempt to connect them. These models, such as Plato's ancient philosophy, associate the five platonic solids with the four classical elements (earth, air, fire, water) and a fifth element of aether or the universe, a concept that predates the periodic table. Modern, alternative theories have also tried to link the structures of platonic solids to the arrangement of atomic nuclei or the periodicity of elements, but these are not part of mainstream chemistry.

We'll see about that.
