They have to have ID this year, so it will be interesting to see how that pans out and what impact that has, especially in the London Mayoral vote. 

I've already voted with a postal vote for my chosen Police and Crime Commissioner. 

It's nice weather so we could see a good turn out tomorrow.

MSM reported that the polling station refused a military ID.   Reports coming in that 1,000's didn't have ID, so were turned away, (must people carry photo ID around with them e.g. driving licence, I also have a bus pass with photo ID and passport, although I sent in my postal vote in advance.) the electoral commission is going to provide a report on this election. Presumably prior to the general election. I'm hoping that the ID will stop Sadiq Khan getting in again. 

This is how he treats women on the London Assembly that do their utmost to scrutinise him and his policies, he treats them with 'contempt".

Boris Johnson forgot to take his ID to the polling station today. He was turned away from voting. 



In our area the turn out has been 30.31%, 42,100 votes. Higher than they thought it would be this morning. 

Plus 41,000 votes for Police and Crime Commissioner. 

In Sunderland, Reform had +16 increase. Although it is still a Labour led council.

The Tory councillors are holding their seats in our area so far. Liberal Democrat held their seat. 

Green Party win. It was originally a green seat, then after the candidate was elected, defected to Labour. Hence the woman that defected has lost her seat on the council, the Green party have won it back. That's a great win for them with a new councillor with a good majority win. 

So no surprises so far in our area.

Results are still coming, the Liberal Democrats haven't done has well as they thought they would do so far. 

Greens have been gaining votes and seats and they've been taking votes from the Liberal Democrats. 

Independents have been gaining. 

Currently, Tories have lost control of 4 councils, they're now no party in control. So far they've lost over 100 council seats. 

Labour has made gains so far, but in Oldham, Labour loses Oldham Council in dramatic night at election.

We probably won't have the outcome of the London election or the Police and Crime Commission positions until tomorrow. Although overall, Tories remain confident on the PCC positions.

Outrageous that the incumbent and the guy that ousted him, both had Palestinian flag on their election leaflets in Manchester. 

Seriously, the electoral commission, should ban foreign flags on the election leaflets in our country.

Labour + 141 
Tories - 337 that's a big loss for the Tories. 
Lib Dems +56 very small gains 
Greens +41 good result for the greens. 
Independents +82 

In Wales, BBC say they've elected the first black female police commissioner. She doesn't look black, BBC, she looks mixed race.
