It’s such a sad situation   breaks my heart to see this, and it is widespread.

If they really cared, they would open up the Biltmore house for all that need shelter from these cold temperatures, much less the trauma they have been through.

I guess this might sound a bit odd, because I have nothing material to offer, but does anyone know of a 'pen friend' group for those affected by the hurricanes Helene and Milton?  For those with access to the internet of course.  Would love to help any way I can, just to talk if it might help.

You might start your search through a church involved in the area. Although most people affected by the storm are in survival mode and probably don't want a pen pal.

How about a letter that can be posted on the wall of the supply distribution centers. Letting those who go there for supplies that they are not forgotten.
