Samaritan's Purse has just donated 11 vehicles to victims of Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina.

One victim, Zack Sparks, an Iraq War Army Veteran, lost his 1996 Chevy S-10 pickup.

Today he received a brand-new Chevy truck!

Marco Rozenbroek, a Swannanoa NC resident, has confirmed he planted over 8,000 tulips, daffodils, hyacinth and other flowers across destroyed public parks in Western North Carolina.

This week, for the first time, they began to all fully bloom.

Here we are nearing another hurricane season. Much has been done to help those affected by Helene. It will be years before the residents are able to relax and see good for all the hard work.

Recovery is proportional to the work expended in each individual situation.
Unfortunately Appalachia is home to a lot of generational helplessness. Either incapable or unwilling to achieve self sufficiency.

The ugly side of charity. Some folks are takers, ungrateful to the bitter end. No amount of charity will ever lift them up from the manure pile they choose for themselves.
