Business insiders won’t say it out loud, but many worry that they could face financial ruin if they run afoul of the politically powerful in New York.

Posting this here as it is the Next active issue in the Fat Fanni saga.

There have been recent issues with corruption with the Fulton County GA by the judge & DA in the Young Thug RICO case.

The recent developments have been intriguing to say the least, but I looked up this video to get caught up on the background and basis of the case.

It looks like the judge in the Young Thugs case is trying to keep going forward despite all of the 'irregularities' and motions for his recusal with the apparent intent to complete the case and let a appellate court make corrections on appeal.

This judge is in hot water considering his and the DA's ex parte meeting with a sworn in witness (felony witness tampering) and I believe it was outlined in one of the filed motions that defense counsel will question the (ex parte) witness on cross examination to lay bare all the details of the ex parte meeting, including all parties present and communications that occurred and get it on the record.

I doubt that this judge or the DA will go to jail over this, but I don't see how they will keep their jobs or licenses as the state of Georgia over all is less corrupt than Fulton County.

I'm still tuned into the GOP Convention, so I have not watched this yet, but it looks like the Corrupt Fulton County Georgia Judge has been kicked to the curb.

I hope there more repercussions for his corruption!

Letitia James and the Lawfare Boomerang

Letitia James and the Lawfare Boomerang - WSJ

The New York Post reports that the Federal Housing Finance Agency has sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department alleging that Ms. James “appeared to have falsified records” related to properties she owns in New York and Virginia. One allegation is that she claimed the property was her “principal residence” in 2023 when she was serving as the state prosecutor in New York. This allegedly allowed her to secure more favorable loan terms.

Ms. James’s office told the Post that she wouldn’t be “intimidated by bullies,” without addressing the substance of the allegation. On the facts reported by the Post, she may have a problem. The government has prosecuted others for false statements on mortgage-loan applications.

We warned that the strategy of using the law to defeat Mr. Trump would boomerang on Democrats, and has it ever. The President has issued executive orders against the law firms that have employed federal prosecutors who pursued him. Several have settled with him by promising pro bono work on his priorities. Now his prosecutors may put Ms. James through the wringer. Her civil prosecution of Mr. Trump for overvaluing his assets was a weak case in which there was no real victim. But she kept saying, “no one is above the law.”

It’s impossible to judge the allegations against Ms. James without seeing the evidence if any charges are ever brought. But it’s not too soon to lament this bipartisan use of the law and government power to punish political opponents. It is eroding public confidence in the fairness of the justice system. But Ms. James and her fellow Democrats cast the first stones, so she shouldn’t be surprised if the next one shatters her windows.
