I cannot emphasize enough how over sensationalized this is.
There were other 11th hour witnesses and evidence proffered that were more significant if the judge opens it back up to testimony, most notably the cell phone geo tracking data.
The consensus opinion is that the judge has heard enough to make a decision and will do so in about 2 weeks.
Right now, I'm more curious about the GA Senate Committee that has subpoenaed Mrs. Merchant. My gut is telling me that they are going to try to find criminality or ethics violation in the public release of the transcripts of the text exchanges between her and Terrance Bradley.
Why subpoena Merchant if they want to pursue any action against Big Fanni and the DA office?

Yep. How much evidence do you need? Just Fanl's testimony was enough. She admitted to multiple crimes under oath.
I don't expect the feds to charge her with anything but the campaign finance crimes are enough to put her away

If there are no repercussions beyond an ordered recusal, it's just another symptom of how deep the corruption goes and they will cover for, or look the other way instead of policing their own.
If they go after those who exposed and fought the corruption...

A short update from Viva with input from Barnes...
I'm looking forward to the hearing tomorrow which seems to be a exploration of Big Fanni's activities, but I will not be surprised if it does a 180 and tries to vilify the
the defense side of the RICO case.

If society fell apart, we - the people would build a new one. Most people are good at their core, and when we see things that are wrong we work to fix them together. Make friends with your neighbors, get involved with your community - because we will rebuild our lives, our communities, from horrible circumstances we always will.

Bumping so it doesn't get lost in the thread slide. That whole cabal (and they did essentially attempt to have their own little private government within the government there in Georgia) is DONE. Now the question is will the state bring any criminal charges? Her career as a politician and as a lawyer are finished, though. THIS is quality entertainment in my book. Who needs Netflix?

I am digging it that the GA senate is hearing all this evidence that the court glossed over or just didn't bother to hear. I can't see how the GA senate has any other choice (if they are doing their job) but to impeach Fani Willis. Not being a lawyer, I am not sure how disbarment happens, but I can't see how she even retains her law license.
Could this senate hearing be the groundwork for a total disbarment?

"The disciplinary process is complex, and the early stages of an investigation are completely confidential, even as to the Bar’s officers and other leadership. The Supreme Court of Georgia regulates the practice of law in Georgia and has the final say regarding any public discipline against a lawyer. The State Disciplinary Board decides which cases the State Bar of Georgia will prosecute and the lawyers in the Office of the General Counsel prosecute those cases. The Office of the General Counsel is funded by the annual license fees Bar members pay to the State Bar of Georgia. There are three stages to a disciplinary matter—the initial screening process, formal investigation by the State Disciplinary Board and disposition either through dismissal, imposition of confidential discipline or public proceedings."
