i planted an orchard this past summer...felt the need to.

a peach, a lemon, an apricot, mulberries, blueberries, a blackberry, raspberries (red and yellow), a grapevine, and a guava and cherries,
plus various herbs and perennials for yearly flowers.
im putting my energies into edibles at this point.

spring is going to be SO AWESOME!

my most favorites of all are the BARBADOS CHERRY trees.

(no that is not me)

omg i tasted one single cherry and i fell instantly in love.
its now my favorite fruit.
i want a hundred of these trees! they taste exactly like i thought a cherry should taste like and it was SO sweet!
so ive got cuttings going, you know it.they take months to root.

The peach & apricot trees may need sister trees to cross-fertilize?   1dunno1

(I know pecan trees do.)

Nice orchard ~ hope they sprout up strong & sure!!    Cheer

thank you DaJavoo!
so far all is well except my little grape.. and the blueberries.
getting the pH down is tricky in my sand.
they seemed to really like the fresh coffee grounds i gave them a month ago.
ive been throwing everything at them for the pH and they are pulling through.
ive got flower buds on them already.
personally, im finding them particularly finicky.

im way too warm here for apricots so i bought it just as a pretty tree.
they are beautiful dainty like trees. i dont get the needed chill hours.
i knew befoehand it was to be an ornamental above all so if it DID decide it could or would in the future somehow, that would be even better/.

there are what are called a PLUOT, a cross between a plum and an apricot but looks more like a plum,
there are also APRIUMS, a cross of the same but this one is more apricot .
i want one of the Apriums.
i think they grow here in Central Florida.

Excellent!  I have apple and apricot trees in the backyard.  Yours are very young, you really need to baby them for a couple of years.

Berries in general, and specially blueberries need a different PH in the soil.  Is not like the other fruit trees, so if you have a way to measure that, is important to do.

GFruit trees require a lot of care, is not like planting a regular tree.

So far, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers.
There are three things not long hidden, the Sun, the Moon, and the Truth.
