Electric vehicle owner describes nightmare car scenario in cold weather

The EV charging stations are going to have to be drive thru in some sort of heated, protected Staffed enclosure!

They are targets for copper wire thieves to sell for scrap pawn as well as outright sabotage by vandals.

Rethink the whole full service station concept, get your windshield wiped down. Pick up an AAA map. We had great full service experience from station pump jockeys back in the day. Check your oil, change a tire.

Apparently, EV cars have a button to heat up the battery before it is charged in cold weather. Although some cars get so frozen up, it's hard for people to get the doors open to press the button.
