All these players that worked their butts off to get their team bowl eligible should stay and finish their college careers and represent the colleges that gave them so much. The scholarship, NIL, and media recognition of their skills should be repaid by finishing the contract with the school.
Most of them may never play in the NFL or become a TV sports analyst.
Without the university experience they could have become just another burger flipper after high school.
Just my 2 cents.

It depends. If the bowl game is a big one, then IMO it's a shitty thing for players to opt out. If it's a low level meaningless bowl, then I don't blame projected 1st & 2nd round draft picks for sitting out. Otherwise, for most it is another opportunity to get noticed or improve draft stock. That is what the Senior Bowl used to be about.

NIL by way of allowing players to cash in on post season ads is a needed boost to retaining some talent for the bowls.

I'm not a big fan of NIL, but if limits and enforcement are settled and in place, it could help keep more players from leaving a year early as many are making more on NIL than they would on a rookie contract.

Boise State is losing one maybe two of its best players before their bowl game. One for sure is Taylen Green the QB, That leaves Boise with 0 starting QB. Just 3 and 4 pick. But even worse is Ashton Jenty the best running back is thinking about jumping ship. Why do these guys leave a team they have worked their asses off for to leave their team dead in the damn water. Almost like treason. JFUP in my opinion.

Stupid for government to get involved!

FSU, Liberty and every other non-power 4.2 conferences should sue both the CFP committee and the NCAA! The CFP for structuring yet another unfair system, and the NCAA for loss of institutional control over CFB, most notably the remaining power 4 conferences.
