Spencer Danielson hired as the 12th head football coach at Boise State. Imho a great choice.

Is that a good hire?

FWIW, I don't think that Avalos was a bad coach. He is a good defensive minded coach that had a history at BSU that made him more likely to stick longer.

I think Avalos got stung by the new world of CFB with transfer portals and NIL. Those two things created more difficulty to keep up with the big boys!

FCS (Div 1A) probably needs to drop teams as well as other fixes to prevent a serious separation top and bottom teams. If I cared at all about Liberty Chuckle I would be pissed that they went undefeated and were not even considered for the playoff. That tells me that they are just in the wrong league.

Now that Nix has decided to play, Duck fans are waiting to see who is in or out.

The initial list of those who potentially sit is extensive and would have a significant effect on the game.

If others join Bo, it may signal that they want to come out and humiliate Liberty for a half as a FU to the bowl selection committee. I'm pretty sure they will play the bench after getting a significant early lead. 1dunno1

So far, not surprising portal announcements!

All these players that worked their butts off to get their team bowl eligible should stay and finish their college careers and represent the colleges that gave them so much. The scholarship, NIL, and media recognition of their skills should be repaid by finishing the contract with the school.
Most of them may never play in the NFL or become a TV sports analyst.
Without the university experience they could have become just another burger flipper after high school.
Just my 2 cents.
