No. 1 Michigan will play No. 4 Alabama in one national semifinal, likely in the Rose Bowl, on Jan. 1 with No. 2 Washington playing No. 3 Texas in the other semi in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1.

I'm a little shocked that Texas got in over Georgia. I suppose that FSU's QB situation played a role in their exclusion, right or wrong.

Hard to bet against Michigan but anything can happen once you get in.

Florida State finished higher than Bama in AP final poll but I guess the committee didn’t want to have another TCU-type game like last year. If FSU didn’t have questions about QB then they would be in. It’s a shame their QB1 got knocked out for season. I hope he comes back next year.
