That's a condensed version of Master's level Psych. 

In my day it was called women that "manipulate men". Only weak men like being stroked all the time verbally and or being managed! Hence why some weak men left their marriages for someone else that was willing to stroke them all of the time.  Then when they get tired of that one, they move onto another one. 

And when a woman requires compassion from a weak man he runs the other way, because he's not strong enough to cope emotionally with what she's experiencing. 

Of course both male and females have to appreciate their partners. Alas some men are very emotionally needy, as some women can be. It goes back to their childhoods.
