My wife knows most of the KJV Bible quite well.  She goes silent when I mention the Ethiopian Bible.  Just got done trying to explain to her it was compiled long before Constantine and the Council of Nicene agreed to rewrite it and redact portions for their own benefit.

 How does the missus feel about that then ? and why the silence ? Can be a bit disconcerting having new information that contradicts  what we have been  led to believe.  ..well acquainted with that feeling   but finding truth gems in a shitpile is one of my favourite pursuits

Depends who you live with. My dad was an atheist when he married my sunday school teacher mother. 

After his dad died, mum took dad to a transfiguration evening and dad saw his dad's face manifest. 

From that day on he became a believer. A Christian.
