Your just a weirdo, get over it! I know man. It was like when my Family, who were once here, adopted the Hounds back in the day. Everyone went to Animal welfare to look for new Fuzzy fam and while the Welfare authorities were doing back-ground checks on whether we were suitable to save the Hounds from Doggo Death Row I got lost and was later found drinking from their water bowl before their Jailors could put it in their cage. I was like 6 at the time.... All recorded by Richard on 2006 VHS with Rachel shouting loudly in the background.
I know a thing or 2 about how they all think....I think?

Fleas were a HUGE problem when we lived in southern California. Since moving to Maine (been here nearly 22 years) only one flea that had to come in on me, as the cat we had was indoor only in a second floor apartment.
Side note: also in 22 yrs only seen like 3 cockroaches...at my old work place ambling down the long hallway.

Our sun room has windows galore, and even with them open it has to be 102 in there. Just a few minutes ago I walked through the room. The cat is laying on the floor in the sun. He just looked at me and meowed.
We have a side porch that is open in summer, our cat Buddy (may he RIP) was the same. He didn't care how hot or humid it was - he LOVED being out there. He was a fat fucker too.

Been on a binge while waking up with coffee watching "Billi Speaks" videos on YT. Woman uses buttons to teach the cat to communicate with her. Having a grand time watching.
So naturally while watching you wonder if you could do this with your cats. Gotta be careful with the buttons you program. Nope, not programming "Food" or "Play" - Arlo would never leave us alone...
But Maggie, our super picky eater only likes dry food or people's chicken/pork/beef/salmon - and you never know which she'll be in the mood for. So you go out of your way trying to please her because Arlo eats wet canned food every night. She hears the can open and expects miracles. We strike out a lot with what she's in the mood to eat people food wise. So I thought IF I bought the buttons I'd program one each to say chicken, beef, pork, salmon....and get her to let me know before I go shopping what she MAY be in the mood for. I mean, it could work, right?
Right now we only have Maggie (15) and Arlo (6). I still miss all the ones that have passed before them.
Our Arlo, rescued from northern Maine as a kitten. Don't dis me, he's earned that badge!
Maggie, heard yowling across the street 15 years ago on a work night. Went out in my pajamas after thinking for 45 minutes her owner would come get her. She crawled right up on me. This pic is her first day in our house. Tried to find the owner for 2 weeks, nothing. So, she's ours.

I totally understand about the food. We had a Tuxedo, I named Tommy. He adopted me, off the streets when I lived in Mission Viejo, CA a few months after my Mom passed over. Here he is with our Siamese/Tabby mix, Clivey:
Tommy was something else! He would go with me and my dog Liffey when we went for walks, once brought a live Bluejay into the house and released it in my living room, and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED. TURKEY!! So much so he once almost drug the Thanksgiving Turkey off the table when our backs were turned!!
Here's a little gif movie I made of my favorite photos of him. Hope they make you smile!

Cats kept peeing in a corner. Guess one of the potty boxes stunk too much.
So I was cleaning one of the potty boxes out, and had one sitting in the corner where they like to go where there isn't a potty box.
I hadn't put the potty box back where it went and they were using it.
So I was like fine. I'll put a potty box there. And they're using it.
Ok... I guess I should potty boxes where the cats indicate they should go.

To fetch a Lowly spritely Finch
James fell down whilst in trembling slothic pursuit and broke his Crown
and Spot came tumbling after
Up James got and home did he run
As fast as he could caper,
To old Dame Dot, who hissed at his nob
One hell of a fall. Both Spot and Dot are OK.
