I did buy myself one for Christmas, £89.99 from Lidl. It hasn't been installed yet. Will have to decide where we can put the port.

One of the best places to get a 2nd hand washing machine in England is at the Heart Foundation, they put all the machines through a wash cycle to see how they do.

Washing machine just crapped out. At least on the front control board. So maybe it's not just the refrigerators only lasting 5 years. Other appliances too.
I bought a new Hoover washing machine before Christmas and I'm very pleased with it for £299. Its all the extra costs on top for delivery, installation and removal of old one that they charge an extra £100 for.
The Hoover even has a 15 minute wash. And it can go up to 1600 speed.

My son came last week to fix a few things and we found a space for the robot hoover, very clever they are. We made a space for it because it has to be able to go back to it's port that is connected by an electricity plug into the mains for recharging. Pick up was really good, it goes over the same space of the carpet many times, more than one would with a stand up hoover.
The only issue is that it doesn't like rugs and my lounge has a huge rug that covers most of the floor.
The model that I've got is really made for completely flat surfaces like laminated floors and carpet throughout, no rugs.
