Movie has several plot lines as well as environmentally unfriendly too big to fail companies dumping their toxic waste on the town's gold mine.  Kentucky and West Virgina has mostly people who either work in a mine or live on welfare.  So anyone that has money just does whatever they want.  

Agent Taggart (Steven Seagal) makes a speech (at the 54 to 57 minute mark) where everyone (on both sides of the plot line when does that ever happen?) all go to the same town church.  Interesing speech about the rich and their idea of altruism.  Environmentalism is of course the bane of what the rich and powerful use in a twisted way.  It's just a way to make more money for them when they have no real intent of cleaning up their own act.

Plenty of woe in WV from rapists who take from here, and leave naught but destruction and poverty in their wake.

Since global warming is based on a chart turned upside down, to make it look like global warming is out of control, they want to cool the planet down.  Global cooling is the actual situation occurring, they are having trouble cooling the planet off faster than the planet is already cooling itself.  They're upset that they can't cool the planet down fast enough.  Maybe try hearing up a gas?  That'll cool things down pretty quick.  

All these things the elites promote are always started by a false premise of how bad it is, when there's nothing there to begin with. Got to justify the stupidity somehow.
