Since raspberry pi is made in UK are any of their products subject to the investigatory powers act of 2016.  Are they subject to this rule?  The foundation doesn't say.  And some of the on-board chips are arm based, closed source for an open source system while the gpu does some other things behind the scenes.

Of course this has implications reaching farther than just raspberry pi as they have their online safety act that requires everyone to show their id for potentially anything they want to do on the internet. No safeguards to keep the government in check.
