I've seen this twice now.  There is an option and mostly unnecessary option in the secure boot uefi bios that you can choose between Windows, Android, and Linux.  In the old days, this might've been necessary, but today it is not.  If you choose Linux, it changes all kinds of functions on the way the computer behaves.  Namely, it might make your 4k video output only capable of 1080p.  But I couldn't quite pin it down the first time, but it turns the screen off, so you can't see what it is doing, and when it finally comes up, it mysteriously ends back up in Windows.  It's a sneaky little trick that Micro$oft has put in your secure boot uefi bios that your motherboard maker has agreed to do along with Micro$oft to do deceptive things with.  I've seen it twice now, and have confirmed the suspicious behaviour to prevent you from being able to use anything but windows.  It locks the computer down harder than before to prevent you from choosing anything else.  Bill Gates is so arrogant to think that his corporate horse shit operating system is the only thing you should be allowed to use against your will.  This would of course be in violation of when the department of justice ruled him guilty of antitrust violations.

Micro$oft designs a crappy software and needs some protection to keep it from being hacked.
