Just another government compliance law to screw with us and complicate out lives.

I already have a valid passport and I don't "belong" to any state.  Angry

YUP!

"They" refer to having a star on your State ID or Driver's License. Didn't the Nazis make Jews wear the Star of David?
Real id just to enter any federal building?

It's another bill gates bunch of crap to take over the states by unaccountable, unelected fiat. Mjust like your birth certificate.

You provided a birth certificate when applying for the passport.  If you were born in the U.S. that state of birth record makes you personally, a sovereign citizen of that state.

Initially they said a passport would suffice for real ID for traveling on a domestic flight.  Now when you ask them, they can't answer the question.  But it's the dangling carrot to keep you from being able to argue with the DMV or government over whether you need it or not, but so they can get away with committing a crime against the Constitution to get what they want.

Birth certificate was also required for drivers' license before real ID, of course, although birth certificate is a fraudulent instrument bestowed upon us at birth to commit fiduciary trust fraud.
Having a license just transfers the fraud from one form to another plastic one in a more convenient carry on size. The birth certificate is a gift that keeps on giving even when it changes form.

Actually, real id was passed by Congress in 2005, by a Republican controlled house, Republican controlled Senate and signed by a Republican president, big W captain Texas himself. The same administration and Congress that gave us the Patriot act, homeland security and a pointless war in a desert on the other side of the Earth.

Show us your papers during the major deportation thing going on right now.  Another excuse to have real id?
